I know you don't believe me but she is really good!!
Not only did she play the drums but she used the base drum for a fort. She totally fit in it.

Santa I want markers.

Sorry for the delayed post lately. We can seem to find Faye's "pause" button. I think all will be forgiven when you take a look at Faye and Santa (played by David Kennedy).
She was really good this year. She didn't freak out at all. She very calmly asked Santa for some markers and candy. Then she just sat and visited for somewhere near 7 or 8 minutes. After she got damn and gathered her thoughts she looked at Fran and I and said "Santa liked me". Santa is a good man and you better believe that Buttermaker is getting some markers for Christmas.
More to come on that subject soon. Please click on the image to get a closer look.

The Great Pumpkin

We all went out to the farm on Saturday to feed the livestock and get a few pumpkins for the porch. Here Faye can be seen riding in her reverse rickshaw that was either powered by Fran or myself. It seemed like a pretty sweet set up.

Towers and Tunnels

Faye is going nuts building towers and tunnels and proud of it! Tunnel tunnel ton ell.
See!

We took a trip to the cedar creek grist mill in Woodland Washington. Just a tiny blip on the sight seeing map but it was fun to take the old truck for a fall drive. The huge salmon were swimming up stream and just beating their brains out trying to get somewhere and best of all the curator showed me his new welder that he bought on Craigslist.

NOBODY TOUCHES THE BINKY!

Here are some pics that Maya took at a party that Dominic and Patty had when his parents came to visit from Chicago.
As you can see Faye is still very much attached to that binky and this is the look that you get if you even think of taking it.
Very pit bull like. You can see that Grandma doesn't even know what kind of danger she's in. NOBODY TOUCHES THE BINKY!

Rune and Faye looking alot like Dominic and Fran at last call.

Thanks for the photos Maya!!

Dory

We went looking for Dory Boats in Pacific City. We didn't see any but Faye looked hard.

Real hard.

Long crazy summer

We have been doing a bunch of camping because that's what the recession says we should do.
A little of the coast and a little of the mountain. Jason and Jill were here. Al and Adriane were here. Michael, Bree and Stella were here. We had a great time with everyone. NOTE: Faye went poo poo in the potty for the first time today. Let's take a poll. Who wants me to post pics of that?

Superstar!!

Michele Holmstrom used to rock this headband when she was peanut in the 70's. She gave it to Faye and now Faye is channeling John Bonham and all the good of the 70's. SUPERSTAR!!

Boat

Whitey bought a boat and Faye likes it alot.
Sorenne took this photo a few weeks back and I just stumbled across it again.
2 peas in a red and white pod on the water.
P.S. Faye has "rest home hair". It's caused by spraying her down with sun block not from being 100 years old and laying in a bed unattended.

pride

Fran took this photo of Faye and I crossing the street in Centralia Washington. It makes be want to explode with pride.
I love this photo more than any other photo ever taken!! click on it to view it larger so that you can actually see Faye and her cute backpack.

Look how many!!

We went berry picking on Sauvie's Island last week. Faye loves the berry's. She can't get enough of the berry's. We had to actually physically remove her from the farm before it was all said and done with. She would have ate berry's until she exploded. We also learned that she likes to pull the wagon, not ride in the wagon. When we got home Fran made blueberry and Raspberry Jam. It turned out pretty damn good. I think it might be the first of many canning sessions to come in the future. Pickles and peppers?

Westward Ho.

Who you calling a ho?
Aunt Sherry and Uncle Russ have been driving around the country for 3 weeks and they made it all the way to Portland from Hermitage Pa. They arrived on Fathers Day Sunday and we spent the day showing them our fair city. It was really nice to have family in town and to catch up. Thanks for taking the right turn at San Francisco Uncle Russ and Aunt Sherry!!

cotton candy

Faye looked so pretty running around Dominic and Patty's bay shower.
She looked like cotton candy and I just wanted to eat her up.
I know I keep saying this but I just can't get a grip on how much she has grown and how much fun she is.

Kiddie Kandids

We've expanded at Ray Gordon Photography.
We added a children's portrait department. We call it "Kiddie Kandids by Ray Gordon".
I just purchased a jacked up 70's disco van and had "Kiddie Kandids" airbrushed on the side of it.
We come to your house and take pictures of your children. Is that weird?

Old McFaye

We went to a Swap meet and Flea Market in Rickreall Oregon on Sunday. On the way home we stopped at a little diner for lunch instead of eating Faye plowed their field.

Father Time

Crap!! Has it been a month since my last post? I think about this blog a lot but I never seem to find the time to sit down and post stuff. The Months have been flying by as you can see by how big Faye is.
Fran and Faye stayed home Wednesday to celebrate my birthday with me. We took Faye to the Childrens Rose Parade in Hollywood and then we all went out to the race track for a kick ass car show and drag races. It was a gorgeous day. 90 degrees.
Thanks to all who came out to the track and thanks to Tieneke for taking and sending us some photos.
Here I am trying to get Faye to wear her protective ear muffs by showing her how cool they look. As you can see...It didn't work.

Here is Padington Faye. She is trying to keep her lilly white Portland skin out of the harsh June sun.

I didn't see all the humor in how many candles were on my cake. I think these two need to quit rubbing it in.

Blowing out the candles. Shortly after this picure was taken Father Time passed out due to lack of oxygen.

Remember when you were a kid and someone would fart and the last kid to put his thumb on his forehead "ate the fart" and everyone pointed at them and laughed. Faye was quick!! She did not eat the fart.

The sunglasses double as a telephone from time to time.

Here you can see our shifty little bear as she is about to swipe some other kids clown candy.

Gordon Family

A great photo of the family unit snapped by our friend Traci who was down visiting from Seattle this weekend. I love it. In the photo "The Buttermaker Express" makes a cameo appearance.

Here's Fran Faye and Traci Chillaxin'. The gals.

Be sure to listen to the song about Faye in the post below. It's pretty great too!!

The Slutz record a song about Faye

The Slutz from Glendale California have recorded a song about our very own Buttermaker.
It's a catchy ass tune with some awesome explicit language. Thanks to Dave Tania and Sharan!!!
Wait for the part where they start screaming BUTTERMAKER!!!!!! It's my favorite.
The Slutz Rock!!

Feels like summer 1973

Here Faye can be seen frolicking in the park wearing a vintage faux denim jump suit that she got from her surrogate Auntie Felicia.
You go girl.

Happy Earth Day

Here is Faye with her classmates working on a Earth Day project.
I like that you love the Earth Faye!!!

breakfast

Faye is a strawberryblueberrygrapeaholic

Hipity Hopity

Faye's urban. She's all hipity hopity.
She rocks the saggy pants and gangsta beanies.
Here she is with her home girl Fran putting their tag on the streets.
It's a shame because they act like they don't even care that they are ruining the neighborhood with their graffiti.
I just look the other way. I don't want to get hurt.
Vandalism is just something you have to put up with when you live on the mean streets of Portland.
After I took these pictures they flashed some quick gang signs and ran away.
To be honest the gang signs freaked me out.
